The role of technology has enhanced the way nurses can care for their patients. Remote symptom monitoring is just one example of this. UCD’s state-of-the-art facilities provide the perfect training environment before students proceed to gain hands-on practical experience at one of our specialist partner hospitals, including: St Vincent’s healthcare Group, the Mater Misericordiae University Hospital, the National Maternity Hospital and Our Lady’s Children’s Hospital.

Nursing and Midwifery

Qualified registered nurses from UCD are recognised throughout the world as top-class professionals.  The nursing degree combines the study of academic subjects such as biological sciences, social sciences and behavioural sciences with hands-on clinical practice in one of our partner hospitals: St Vincent’s Healthcare Group, incorporating St Michael’s Hospital, Mater Misericordiae University Hospital, National Maternity Hospital (Holles St), our Lady’s Children’s Hospital (Crumlin) and St John of God Hospital.
